Pastor Adeola begins this series on Colossians by reminding us that behind Paul’s letter stands the authority of Christ Himself. Paul introduces himself as an apostle of Christ Jesus, not by the appointment of men but by the calling and revelation of the risen Lord. His words are therefore the very Word of God to His church.
Paul’s testimony shows the power of grace: once a persecutor of believers, he was transformed into a defender of the faith. His story warns us against writing people off, and encourages us to believe that no one is beyond the reach of God’s mercy.
This passage also highlights the need for discernment in a world full of false teachings. The apostles laid the foundation of the church and gave us the Scriptures; our spiritual health depends on listening to their doctrine rather than chasing novel or sensational spirituality. True Christian growth is rooted in the Word of God, which the Holy Spirit uses to anchor us in Christ.
At the core of Paul’s message in Colossians is this: Christ is enough. All our struggles, fears, and confusion point us back to Him. Christianity is not sustained by emotion or routine but by a living, growing relationship with Jesus.
The Apostle calls us to build our lives on Christ, the One who saves, sanctifies, and keeps us. As we study Colossians, may God renew our hunger for His Word and deepen our fellowship with His Son.

In this message, Deacon Eyinna explores Moses’ blessing over the tribe of Levi and shows how God can transform even a curse into a blessing. Through the lens of Scripture, and a vivid illustration from The Lord of the Rings, he highlights the biblical principle of representation: that one person’s actions can shape the destiny of many.
Though Levi’s violence once brought a curse (Genesis 49), the zeal of his descendants at the golden calf turned that curse into consecration (Exodus 32). In Deuteronomy 33, Levi becomes God’s “holy one,” entrusted with the Urim and Thummim, called to teach God’s law, offer sacrifices, and live scattered among Israel as a blessing.
This transformed inheritance points to the greater reality fulfilled in Christ. Just as Levi’s descendants received holiness and substance through representation, believers receive perfect righteousness, priesthood, and God Himself as their portion, not by merit, but through Jesus, the second Adam. What was once judgment becomes grace.

The book of Hosea tells a story of divine love that refuses to give up. “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.” Though Israel turned away again and again, God’s love persisted. Israel doubled down on rebellion, but God doubled down on love.
In their prosperity, Israel forgot their Maker. They built palaces and fortified cities, seeking security apart from God. Yet the Lord, in His jealous love, resolved to bring them back, even through loss and pain. “I will not lose you,” He says. “I will take you back to the wilderness where it’s just you and Me.”
Hosea 14 reveals the heart of true repentance: not alliances, not idols, not strength or success, but simple words of return. “Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses. In You, the orphan finds mercy.” To come to God is to confess our helplessness, to admit that apart from Him there is no safety, no significance, no future.
And how does God respond? “I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely.” He promises restoration, life blossoming again like the trees of Lebanon, roots deep and branches flourishing under His shadow.
This is the story of God’s love, faithful in our unfaithfulness, steadfast through our wandering. His name is Love, and He acts accordingly. When we tire from running, He meets us there with mercy. On the cross, Christ paid the full price to make us the fulfillment of God’s loving intention for our lives.
