What does it mean to be blessed? The answer to this query will vary from person to person or context to context. But we are not left in the dark about what it really means to be blessed. We have the one true giver of blessings to glean from, He only is able to give the true answer and experience of what it means to be a blessed person. Speaking in Matthew’s gospel chapter 5 verses 1 to 12, Jesus Christ began to teach his disciples and by extension, all of God’s covenant children what qualifies as a blessing as far as the true giver of blessings is concerned. Anchoring his teaching from that text of scripture, Pastor Sam Oyeyinka, visiting from The Excellent Church in Lagos, took the time to draw our minds to align with God’s definition of a blessing. Man understands blessings differently from God’s view but only one view is correct. This is what we will learn from this sermon and assuredly, God wants his children to be truly blessed.
