Genesis 28:13 (ESV) And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.
Comfort arrives for Jacob from One who is All-Knowing & can't be manipulated. A lifetime of scheming has earned him stones for pillows and an outcast badge, least of weightier repercussions he deserves. But the Lord isn't down with the stonecasting mob. He gave the most reassuring words to the undeserving. "I AM with you". Weary, worn and sad Jacob finds a resting place and a glad embrace in the Words & Promises of his Creator. May you find comfort for your weary heart as you listen.
